My Eat, Pray, Love .

Hello.

Eat, Pray, Love. "One woman's search for everything." a book by Elizabeth Gilbert was also an inspiration to start this personal blog. It took  me five years to read and finish it ( my excuse was I had a readers block). I too is in search of a lot of things and evaluating my life trying to find a balance. I am currently at my eating stage and honey we are EATING!😅 without any guilt because "food is symbolic to love when words are inadequate." Most of us don't even know why we are here yet and we are just trying to get by and life keeps throwing some curve balls at us.  one of my favorite poets Rumi said " what you seek is seeking you." and I really believe that one day I will have the life I want and dream of so while I am still travelling to meet my goal I will find ways to make my life meaningful. The book was also adapted into a movie so you can check it out if you are searching for inspiration like me. Life is a journey enjoy the ride!

    It great to know that I'm not the only girl who loves food😁 I actually have big appetite when it comes to food because it's my comfort zone🤗❤️. I also take my time when reading novels, it took me 3 months to finish "Nothing but the truth" novel so I don't judge you for taking 5 years😁

 One of the most precious things I did in my 20s was to travel. Started locally and in 2017 me and my friends decided to cross boarders and get those passports stamped honey (snaps fingers). I have a friend who is from Botswana and the idea started with visiting her country and we ended up dreaming big and decided to travel to 4 countries that year. We started in Swaziland which was fun and we attended the reed dance. Next on the list was Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. It was in December and we stayed in Kasane which made it easier for us to cross to Zimbabwe and Zambia. We had a lot of fun and met with amazing people. We had a tour guide who took us places and to a beautiful game drive. I will never forget that experience and the memories we created to last us a lifetime. Celebrating love.

  Had a pleasure to witness my best friend get her fairytale love over the weekend. 😍 in a stunning intimate wedding with just close friends and family the couple shared their vows. I love love and was happy to see someone close to me get to experience a  soft love to see her getting chosen by the love of her life melted my heart.  I haven't been lucky in finding true romantic love and I've made peace with that. not in a defeatist way but a gentle acceptance to help me navigate life. but there will be more love always remember that.💓

Test week

 Stress all around as it was test week at our University. Now if you don't prepare in advance you know you prepare to fail. After two full years of on line learning because of Covid we are back to sit in exams and tests full time  and our brains are still in shock of everything. I am still a bit rusty and finding everything about school difficult especially with the funding problems I am currently facing, we also lost a classmate we loved dearly. But all of these are minor setbacks toward the end goal. We are so close to the finish line there is no turning back now we will keep on pushing.  We all have questions or worried about employment opportunities with the state of our economy and high unemployment rate is South Africa. The problem the graduates are facing in this country we can only hope for a light at the end of the tunnel.  That shouldn't demotivate us we know why we started, we have that common goal of getting out of poverty and education is our ticket!
